Our journey
From 2006 to today.
Founded in Kathmandu in 2006 by Ram Chandra Poudel and Andrew Poudel, Grace International began as an education and migration consultancy helping students pursue international education. Its Australian expansion started in Melbourne in 2015, followed by Adelaide in 2016 and Sydney in 2018, alongside growth across Nepal and other countries.
In 2026, Grace celebrates twenty years with Odyssey, a five-day retreat in Pattaya, Thailand, bringing together 100 participants from 52 branches across 11 countries. The anniversary honours the people behind Grace’s journey and brings its global family together to celebrate, reconnect and look ahead.

Respectful travel
Thai etiquette.
A quick guide to respectful travel in Thailand.
Do
- Respect the monarchy. Never criticise or joke about it, as there are serious legal consequences. Stand silently if the national anthem plays.
- Return the "wai". If someone greets you with palms together and a slight bow, do the same.
- Speak calmly and politely. Add "krub" (men) or "ka" (women) to "thank you" and greetings.
- Dress modestly at temples: cover shoulders and wear long pants or skirts. Pack a light scarf.
- Remove shoes at temples, homes and some businesses.
Don’t
- Don't point your feet at people or sacred objects, put feet up on furniture, or show the soles of your feet.
- Don't touch anyone's head, even a child's.
- Don't step over people or food.
- Don't show anger in public. Stay calm and involve the organisers if an issue comes up.
- Limit public affection. Hand-holding is fine; avoid kissing or intimate gestures.
- Don't touch, climb or sit on Buddha statues or sacred objects.
